A brat background generator creates a plain or lightly textured color background in the style of Charli XCX's 2024 album Brat, without any text added. You pick a color, adjust blur and noise texture, choose your canvas size, and download the finished image. This tool is built for anyone who wants the background only, whether that is to add your own text later or use as a plain visual on its own.
If you want text included on your background, use Brat Generator instead.
The original album background is Pantone 3507C, commonly used online as hex code 8ACE00, a bright, high saturation yellow green. Charli XCX has said in interviews that the color was chosen because it felt slightly off and aggressive rather than trendy, which is part of why it stood out.
This tool includes that green as the default, along with black, white, and pink presets, plus a full color picker so you can enter any hex code you want. A noise texture option adds a light grain across the background, and the blur slider softens the color for a more dreamy, out of focus look instead of a flat, hard edged fill.
Getting the size right matters more for a plain background than for almost any other image type, since a background that gets cropped or stretched loses its clean, even look immediately. This tool includes presets for the sizes people use most:
Instagram feed post. 1080 by 1080 pixels for a square post, or 1080 by 1350 pixels for the current best performing portrait feed format.
Instagram Stories and Reels, and TikTok. 1080 by 1920 pixels, full screen vertical format.
X (formerly Twitter) header. 1500 by 500 pixels, a wide banner shape.
YouTube channel banner. 2560 by 1440 pixels, though YouTube crops this differently across devices, so keep any text or logo you add later centered.
Custom size. Enter your own width and height in pixels if you need a background for something outside these standard formats.
No account is required, and there is no limit on how many backgrounds you can generate.
These three tools solve slightly different problems. A brat background generator, like this one, is built for backgrounds meant to be used inside other designs, like a base layer for a post, story, or banner. Brat Wallpaper Generator is built specifically for lock screen and desktop sizes meant to be viewed as a finished wallpaper on their own. Brat Generator adds text on top of a background in one step, which is faster if you already know exactly what your final image needs to say.
People use plain color backgrounds as a base layer in design software, a Zoom or video call background, a blank canvas to add their own text or graphic on top of, or a simple, bold visual for a story post without any caption needed. Because the color itself carries the visual identity, a plain background often works just as well as a fully designed image for quick, casual posting.
