A brat album cover generator lets you type a title and turn it into a square cover image in the style of Charli XCX's 2024 album Brat: bold lowercase text, a flat color background, and a light blur. You can size your export for streaming platforms, a playlist cover, or a vinyl jacket, then download the finished file.
For font only work without the full cover layout, use Brat Font Generator. For the complete text and background editor, use Brat Generator.
Every major streaming platform displays cover art as a square, 1 to 1 ratio image. Spotify's current published minimum is 3000 by 3000 pixels, and Apple Music now asks for at least 4000 by 4000 pixels. Both platforms require sRGB color mode, and neither accepts rectangular uploads. Cover art that includes a web address, social handle, or streaming service logo is rejected by both platforms during review.
If you are designing for a physical vinyl pressing, the standard 12 inch LP jacket measures 12.375 by 12.375 inches, which comes out to roughly 3750 by 3750 pixels at 300 DPI once you include the standard bleed. A playlist cover has a smaller practical requirement than an album cover but works best as a simple design, since it is often viewed as a small thumbnail on a phone screen.
This tool includes size presets for these common targets, so you do not need to calculate pixel dimensions by hand before you export.
No account is required, and there is no limit on how many covers you can generate.
The original Brat cover uses stretched, lowercase Arial text on a bright yellow green background, commonly used online as hex code 8ACE00, with a light blur applied across the whole image. This tool applies the same defaults so your cover matches that look without manual adjustment, while still letting you change the background color, font weight, and blur strength if you want a different variation.
Keep your title short if you want it to stay fully legible after blur is applied. Long titles need a smaller font size to fit the square canvas, which can reduce how readable the text stays at thumbnail size on a phone.
These tools point to slightly different goals. A brat album cover generator, like this one, is built around square export sizes that match real streaming and vinyl specifications. Brat Generator is the broader editor for any text and background combination, not specifically sized for release. A playlist cover tool focuses only on Spotify and Apple Music playlist thumbnails, which have looser size requirements than an actual album release. If you are preparing artwork for a real music release, use the size presets on this page rather than a general purpose editor, since a rejected cover can delay a release date.
